2019-2020 Hygiene Kits Launch

It has been a little over a year since the 2nd set of Hygiene Kits were donated to A-Hope in Asheville NC. Unfortunately the homelessness rate in Western North Carolina has risen since the last run of  the Hygiene Kits this time we are planing to raise enough money to make 400 Hygiene Kits with 15 items in them. The goal for this run is $2,500, I would love to have the kits donated by the beginning of February 2020, but if we do not reach the goal by then, we will go till the goal is met. There is a GoFundMe set up for raising the money click here to donate. Please also feel free to share the link with other people. The more people that hear about this the quicker we can get the money raised for the kits.

Update March 7th 2018

Every Little Help Counts!!

I want to start off by giving a BIG Shout-Out to Mr.Belcher the account rep from Dollar Days. Dollar Days is where I buy all the items that go into the kits. They have generously helped out with lowering the total cost of all the supplies. I also want to thank Tess Oral Health Care for responding to my request for a donation of toothbrushes quickly and for the most part donating enough toothbrushes for all of the 350 Hygiene Kits for this year. Also, Thank You to anyone who has donated any amount during the second run of my cause. With the rate, we are at with raising money I strongly feel that we can make the goal and I can pass out the 350 kits before I graduate from High School this year on June 8th!!

 

Website Changes!

I am planning on working on changing the layout of my website the main part is I am looking to have a new page on my website just for the companies that have helped out by letting me spread the word about my cause or for companies that have donated to my cause. I plan to have a slideshow of the sponsor and list on the slide with the company’s logo how they have helped out Hygiene Kits For The Homeless.

Hi All,

I wanted to give an update on what has been going on lately. I am a senior this year in high school and I chose to raise more money for Hygiene Kits For The Homeless as my community service hours for my senior project. In order to get those hours I am looking to set up at events around the Asheville,NC area and get my hours that way. As of today we are at $425 and the cost for getting enough supplies is around $2,500. If you are hosting an event or own a business in the Asheville Area and would be willing to let me set up a small table at your event or business, please email me at:

Update 7/19/2017 (We Can Do It!!)

I know its  been a while since I posted, but I am trying super hard to get this project back in the swing of things. We have raised $405 (as of this post) and we need to raise $2,500 in order to have enough money to get all the supplies for the Hygiene Kits. There is a page on this website of what will be in the kits for this year. Any donation helps even if its $5. I am going to be posting updates more often now because its almost winter time when the homeless shelters are overflowing with homeless people and some of the homeless people won’t have a place to stay and the homeless shelters themselves will be having a struggle of keeping enough supplies in order to help out the homeless population. Thank You again for your help.
